HM King Desire Awuola Amon Tanoe is the reigning King of the Nzima Kotoko people of Ivory Coast and Ghana, West Africa.
He was born on August 22nd 1935 in Abdijan. He has masters degree in Public law and political science and has worked in the ministry of foreign affairs.
He also holds two positions in Ivory Coast: special Advisor to the President of the Superior Council of Kings and Traditional Chefs of Côte d’Ivoire & First Vice-President of the Truth and Reconciliation Dialogue Commission (CDVR) of Côte d’Ivoire.

He is married. His golden palace is located at Grand Bassam.
