King Makhosoke II Mabhena of Ndebele weds Princess Sekhothali Seeiso of Lesotho

It is the Royal wedding anniversary of HM King Makhosoke II Mabhena of Ndebele Kingdom, South Africa and HRH Princess Sekhothali Seeiso of Lesotho, now HM Queen Sekhothali Mabhena of Ndebele who married in 2019.

King Makhosoke II is the current reigning king of the Ndebele kingdom of the Manala clan while the new queen consort or Indlovukazi is a princess of Lesotho by birth. She is the daughter of Prince Masupha Seeiso who is a younger brother of late King Moshoeshoe II of Lesotho and uncle to the current King Letsie III. This makes her a first cousin of the King of Lesotho.

The princess who is an advocate for fighting for children rights was also previously a plus size model who was known in the Lesotho celebrity circles as Lesothos techno princess.

The double royal wedding took place on 12 and 19 October 2019. The first wedding was a church purple themed wedding in Lesotho. The bride arrived in rolls royce surrounded by Lesotho royal horses accompanied by her brother Prince Bereng Seeiso. Her sister Princess Khopotso Masupha Seeiso was her chief bridesmaid. The king groom was clad in a black double breasted suit ready for his new wife while the bride wore a purple themed basotho gown with a detachable train. The couple was joined in a religious church ceremony thereafter had a reception at the Lesotho Royal palace in Maseru.

The celebrations continued to the Kingdom of Ndebele in South Africa where the new Indlovukazi or queen was fully in the ndebele traditional dress and undertook various marriage traditions with other ndebele royal ladies at engwenyameni royal .
