Sultan of Damagaram, Republic of Niger🇳🇪

Sultan Abubakar Oumarou Sanda of Damagaram, Sultanate Southern Niger. Title in local language is Sarkin Damagaram.

He succeeded his late father sultan  Oumarou Sanda who reigned 1950-1978.

Damagaram sultanate is a precolonial muslim monarchy that existed since 1730s and was centered around the town of Zinder. This is also why the Sultan of Damagaram is sometimes called Sultan of Zinder.

The sultan official residence is the Sultans Palace in Zinder which a major historical and tourist attraction site with its old architecture.
