Kiziba kingdom royal family, Tanzania

Kiziba kingdom was a precolonial monarchy of the Haya people of Tanzania that existed since 1400s. The Haya people were organized into many kingdoms with different kings, kiziba being one of them. With colonisation and Tanzania independence in 1962, the monarchies and their royal rulers were abolished despite most of them fighting for independence among the political elite. Today commonly referred to as chiefs, Some have survived through cultural preservation, others have been forgotten while others are silently existing in their local communities with not having much role to play apart from few royal ceremonies in their royal dynasties.

The kings of Kiziba were titled Omukama and belonged to the babiito dynasty which is also related to the Tooro and Bunyoro kitara kingdoms in Uganda. The list kings include :

The current King of Kiziba kingdom, Tanzania is Omukama(King) Lutinwa Mutatembwa II. He is married with three children (two are twins) namely Prince Lennox Lutinwa, Prince Lewis Lutinwa and Princess Eless Lutinwa.
