Peremobowei of Kabowei Kingdom, Nigeria

Kabowei is a traditional kingdom of the Kabo tribe of the larger Ijaw(Izon) speaking people located in the Niger Delta of Nigeria. The kingdom tribe which was founded by Kabo is uniquely found in two states, namely Bayelsa state and Delta state with its royal capital based at Patani town. The kingdom covers 17Communities in Delta and Bayelsa States, which are Ekperiware, Elemebiri, Asamabiri, Trofani (Pinnamsei, Abazi, Ayama, Aduku,) New Patani and Adagbabiri in the Bayelsa State axis, with Abare which consist of Preware and Asedeni), Ogienware, Akowari, Ekise No1, Ekise No 2, Osuoware, Afenaware and Okruware with Koloware and Aven in the Delta States. King (Peremobowei or Pere) Shadrack Erebulu Aduo III is the current reigning monarch or King of Kabowei kingdom. Crowned in 2017, he is the sixth son of late King (Pere) Lucky Erebulu Aduo II. King Shadrack Erebulu Aduo III is a first class king and the youngest king among the Ijaw tribe which occupies the rich oil region of the Niger delta in southern Nigeria.

Queen (Alamerefa) Cynthia Erebulu is the wife of current reigning monarch King (Pere) Shadrack Erebulu Aduo III of Kabowei kingdom found in Nigeria. The royal couple are also lawyers by profession, The queen is a magistrate and the king is off legal practice fully. They are blessed with children and have been King and Queen since 2017.

Kabowei Seigbin festival

The kabowei seigbein festival which is an annual event precisely in the month of April is the celebration of the cultural heritage of the people and last for the period of 20 days it involves a series of proclamations, taboos to be observed, and dance related events. This festival started centuries ago by kabo, now kabowei ( the son of oproza), the festival is done to celebrate kabo changing from a bad person to a good person. The King (Pere) of Kabowei graces the occassion which has a variety of events like a boat regatta, dances etc. It is the kingdoms most important annual royal event where every son and daughter of Kabowei is expected to come home to showcase our rich cultural heritage and pay homage to the King
