23rd Ntemi (King or chief) Ilago Charles Kafipa (Kaphipha) of Bukumbi, Sukuma people, Misungwi district, Mwanza region in Tanzania has passed away at the age of 92/93.
He was crowned in 1944 at the age of 16/17 to succeed his late father Ntemi Shimbe Anthony Kaphipha reigned (1915-1944)his grandfather Minzimalulu reigned 1896 – 1915.
He has been monarch for 77 years. He leaves behind his wife Ngole (Queen) Mary Kaphipha and children
