HM Olu (King) Ogiame Atuwatse III of Warri (Iwere) kingdom of Itsekiri people of Nigeria
Prince UtieyinoriTsetsola Emiko has been crowned the 21st King of Warri kingdom taking the reign name Atuwatse III. He succeeds his late father 19th King Ogiame Atuwatse II Godwin (1987-2015) and his uncle 20th King Ogiame Ikenwuoli Godfrey Emiko who died in 2020.






King Atuwatse III ( or popularly as Tsola Emiko) was crowned with a crown similar to the 400 yr old missing crown as he sat on a specially made golden throne. Next to him wife Ivie Emiko whom he declared as Queen (Olori) Atuwatse III. He later made a speech on way forward for the new reign.
Prince Tsola Emiko started his journey from seclusion through the river on a regatta boat to the ode tsekiri. He was crowned Ogiame Atuwatse III after his father reign name who was Ogiame Atuwatse II. Ogiame is a religious traditional title that kings of Warri have held being custodians of the river goddess religious traditions among the Itsekiri people
On Sunday the King and Queen attended a thanksgiving service in honor of the new reign.
