We have a new Emir, HRH Emir Nasiru Ado Bayero of Bichi Emirate, Nigeria was officially crowned and installed as the second Emir of Bichi at the Bichi township stadium.
He was born a prince of Kano as the son of late Emir Ado Bayero of Kano and his wife Hajiya Maryam Ado Bayero who was born a princess from another Emirate.
He is the brother of current Emir Aminu Ado Bayero of Kano Emirate and is the in law of president Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria. His daughter Princess Zahra Nasir Bayero got married to Yusuf Buhari the previous day. He is married with children.
The event was attended by various northern Nigerian emirs and sultan, government officials and the general public who witnessed him being given the official staff of office by the governor of Kano state.
Long live the Emir.
