Today marks tge 5th death anniversary of late King (Mwami) Kigeli V Ndahindurwa of Rwanda who died in 2016 in exile. Members of the Rwanda royal dynasty young and old, visited Mwima mausoleum to this occasion of remembrance.

King Kigeli V of the Kingdom of Rwanda was the last reigning monarch of Rwanda between 1959- 1961 before it became a Republic after a coup supported by the belgian government.



He was the son of late King Yuhi v Musinga of Rwanda and succeeded his late brother King Mutara iii Rudahigwa of Rwanda who died suddenly in 1959.



The giant king lived the rest of his life in exile particularly America where he was involved in the King Kigeli v Foundation that supported the rwandan refugees and underprivileged.
