King (Ogorungu/Agamwinboni) Mbongo Ntchounga of Orungu tribe (kingdom of Orungu) of Gabon is the current reigning traditional monarch of the Orungu people of Gabon.

The Kingdom of Orungu existed from 1700 to 1927 when the French colonialists abolished it. It flourished during the slave trade due to its proximity to the Atlantic ocean coastline.

Today addressed as chefferie de Orungu, he has been monarch since 2016 after selection by representatives from the clans and lineages of the tribe.

Born in 1960 in Gabon, he was educated in France and came back to Gabon to work for the government as a geologist and later for Total oil company before resigning to become king. He is married with seven children.

His role is today majorly ceremonial as custodian of royal cultural traditions
