Azande people kingdom, South Sudan restored after over 100 years

HM Atoroba William Peni Rikito Gbudue of Azande people of South Sudan, DRC Congo and Central African Republic was crowned 117 years after the death of his great grandfather late King Gbudue who was shot by British in 1905.

King Gbudue sons tried to revolt the British and were arrested ending the Kingdom until now when it has been restored.

Azande people are a bantu speaking tribe currently inhabiting the borders of 3 countries modern South Sudan, DRC Congo and central African Republic.
