Bayede Wena WeNdlovu! The late King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu of Zulu kingdom, South Africa was remembered at a memorial service held on18th March 2021. The memorial was held after he was planted according to Zulu traditions on Wednesday night at the Royal gravesite where other kings are interred.
Guests arrived shortly before 10 am for the service held at kwakhethomthandayo royal palace which is the first wife Queen Sibongile Dlamini Zulu residence. Among the guests included;

The six Queens of Zulu, wives of late King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu were clad in black veils while his children were noticeably clad in leopard skins.
The late King’s eulogy was read by his daughters Princess Ntandoyesizwe Zulu and Princess Nandi Zulu while a reading was read by his other two daughters among them Princess Mukelile Zulu. The late King’s sister Princess Thembi Ndlovu gave her tribute on behalf of the siblings.
President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa gave his speech on the late King’s life and his contribution to public service of Zulu people and South Africa. He later presented the first wife Queen Sibongile Dlamini Zulu with service honours of the late King given by the military and government.
Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi of kwaphindagene gave his tribute to the late King and later Prince Mbonisi Zulu, the late King’s brother gave a vote of thanks moving the family and guests to tears.
The public was able to watch the ceremony live on TV and at public watching places set up by the KwaZulu provincial government.
