HM Kgosi Nchaupe III Makapan of Bakgatla ba Mosetlha, centred around Moretele district, Bojanala municipality North West province, South Africa was crowned on 8th July 2023 at makapanstaad.
Kgosi Nchaupe III Makapan succeeded his late father Kgosi Tau in 1994 very young but under regency of Kgosi Motshegwa. He offcially took over in 2015 and was crowned officially in 2023.
He was Crowned using a leopard skin by HM Kgosikgolo Kgafela II of Bakgatla ba Kgafela who live in Botswana and South Africa.
He rules over 40000 people.
