World’s first black flight attendant, Princess Leopoldine Douala Bell Smith of Canton Douala Bell royal family of Douala people of Cameroon (1939-2023)
She was the granddaughter of late King Rudolf Douala Manga Bell who was h@nged by Germans for resisting colonial rule
She became the world’s first black flight attendant when she started in France, she later moved to Air Afrique a pan African airline owned by many west African countries who didn’t have their own carrier then becoming its first employee and later cabin chief. She later worked in USA,Gabon and Panama before retiring in 2003. She was married to Mr Smith with children
She passed away in 2023. Her funeral was attended by her family , the Douala Manga Bell royal family, friends etc
