King Misuzulu kaZwelithini of Zulu kingdom, South Africa

King Misuzulu Sinqobile Zulu is the successor of the zulu throne after the passing of his mother Queen regent Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu. This was revealed from the late Queens will which was read after her memorial service at KwaKhangelamankengane Royal Palace.He has also been recognised formally according to the traditional and khoisan leaders act of 2019 by president Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa as king of the amaZulu on 16th March 2022.

Born Prince Misuzulu Sinqobile Zulu, he is the eldest son of late King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu with great wife late Queen Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu who was born a princess of Eswatini. He succeeded his late father King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu as king of Zulu kingdom, South Africa after his late mother who was then regent named him as her sucessor.

He is married to Queen Ntokozo Mayisela Zulu with whom they have two children. The King has an adult son Prince Jubizizweni Zulu Sigcau from a previous relationship with Princess Wezizwe Mpondombini Sigcau of amaMpondo aseQaukeni kingdom. His six children are

  • Prince Qobolwakhe kaMisuzulu
  • Princess Nothando kaMisuzulu
  • Prince Jubezizweni Sigcau kaMisuzulu
  • Princess Simezwini kaMisuzulu
  • Prince Lwandle kaMisuzulu
  • Prince Mandulo kaMisuzulu

The great royal wife tradition is followed by many south African royal houses whereby a royal wife is married for the king by the Kingdom by paying bride price for her. Therefore her sons become high chance heirs to the throne than other sons.
