Queen mother Siphila Dlamini Mahlangu of Ndzundza Mabhoko clan of Ndebele, South Africa

Queen mother Siphila Dlamini Mahlangu is currently the Queen mother or King’s mother of the Ndzundza Mabhoko clan of Ndebele, South Africa. She is the mother of the current King (Ingwenyama) Mabhoko III Mbusi Mahlangu and holds the title Ngu Gogo westjhaba.

She was born in 1956 as Princess Siphila Dlamini, daughter of late King Sobhuza II of Eswatini then Swaziland. Queen mother Siphila is a sister to King Mswati III and late Queen Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu. Like her fellow sisters and nieces who were married to other South African kings, she married late King (Ingwenyama) Mayisha Cornelius Mahlangu of Ndzundza Mabhoko or Ndzundza Ndebele people (reigned 1992-2005) as his great royal wife.

Together they had children including

  • King (Ingwenyama) Mabhoko III Mbusi Mahlangu
  • Princess Sakhe Mahlangu
  • Prince Sive Mahlangu
  • Princess Simangaliso Mahlangu
  • Princess Lomcebo Mahlangu
  • Among others step children
